THOMAS VENDITUOLI

FAITH IN ACTION AWARD

Two years ago we began a new tradition for our feast in which we give out this award in memory of Tom to a young person, 30 years of age or younger who is a current parishioner, or long-time parishioner, displaying the virtues of putting faith into action and bringing young people to Christ. It gives us great pleasure to announce that our

Vendituoli Award Winner this year is:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

THE CATHOLIC CHARITY

FUND APPEAL

Since we began the Charity Fund appeal with our in-pew solicitation, we are now at 95.8% of our goal, having raised $51,707.50. For many years now we have surpassed our goal! This is a wonderful charitable effort. Please consider giving to the Charity Drive in the form of a pledge. Giving fifteen, twenty or twenty-five dollars a month over ten months, gives you the opportunity to give an increased amount spread-out through the coming year.

OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL SCHOOL The School Year began on August 30, 2007.

SCHOOL NEWS

MAKE THE DREAMS OF OLMC STUDENTS COME TRUE BY BECOMING A “SHOOTING STAR” DONATOR AND PURCHASE YOUR “STARS” AT THE OLMC SCHOOL

HOURS: 8:30 TO 4:00pm

To become a “Shooting Star”, you simply make a donation (Gold Star $10.00, Silver Star $5.00, and Bronze Star $2.00), and write his/her name of a loved one on the star. In return, stars will be hung in the classrooms where the students will pray for our “Shooting Stars” all year long! By the way, Stars can be purchased “In Memory Of” for someone near to you that has passed away. The money raised will be used to upgrade our Science Department and to purchase DVD players for Pre-K through 8th Grade.

Thank you “always” for your support!

Our School was founded in 1952, with the Religious Teachers Fillippini as the foundation order. Together, now with lay teachers and staff, the school this year has some 200. Below are some pictures of our school:

REMEMBER THE CHURCH in your preparation for the end of the tax year. Donations to the Church, (monetary, stock, property) are a tax deduction that can help you and a way, at year's end, to assist your parish in the work of God.

THE POOR BOX located in the back of the Church under the picture of Pope Benedict XVI, is the vehicle by which we can hear and answer the cries of the poor on a weekly basis. Please remember to give to the poor box on a regular basis. Through your generosity we are enabled to help individuals and families in need. Thank you for thinking of others during their time of need.
